In our proposal “Vers une avenue vivante” for the redevelopment of the green spaces around Avenue Lepoutre and Place Brugmann in Ixelles (Brussels), we aimed to show the potential for a vibrant green heart for the area, in which Avenue Lepoutre flows like a living green vein. Together, they form a place to meet with a variety of dedicated spaces. This diversification of the avenue, based on the concept of different urban green rooms, encourages a diversity of uses. Through a co-creative installation that brings people together around place Brugmann, perspectives about the neighbourhood and transformation can be shared and discussed.
